Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a prevalent vaginal condition resulting from an imbalance in the natural bacterial flora.
BV occurs when there’s an overgrowth of certain bacteria in the vagina, leading to symptoms such as:
- Unusual vaginal discharge: Often thin, grayish-white, and with a fishy odour.
- Vaginal itching or irritation
- Burning sensation during urination
While BV isn’t classified as a sexually transmitted infection, it can increase susceptibility to other infections.
