The main affinity of this remedy is to the Nerve centres, Right side for head symptoms, Right to left or left to right for other symptoms, Blood vessels and capillaries, and mucus membranes of eyes, mouth and throat.

The symptoms of Belladonna are INTENSE, SUDDEN, VIOLENT

It comes on suddenly and resolves suddenly.

There is dryness of mouth with violent thirst for cold drinks. Desires lemon and lemonade.

Has violent mental symptoms-strike, bite, hit, have hallucinations and delirium, fearful madness, afraid of imaginary black dogs.

Sometimes an Angel and sometimes a Devil.

Hot head with cold extremities.

There is heat locally and subjectively, BURNING, REDNESS, SWELLING of inflamed parts.

Worse for touch, jar, motion, draft of air, after 3pm and after midnight, uncovering ehad, from sun, after haircut, hanging down or sudden pressure.

Better for Rest, bending backwards in case of colic and headache, continued pressure (bandaging or tight cap), sitting or standing erect and warm room.

Pains-tear, shoot, burn and sting.
